Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee visited Maynagudi, Rajganj, and Phulbari in Jalpaiguri district on the fifth day of his Jan Sanyoga Yatra.
He visited the Complexeshwar temple in Maynagudi in the morning and offered prayers for the well-being of Bengal. Earlier, he visited the Chekenda Bhandar temple and released a couple of white pigeons as a symbol of his message of unity and harmony among people of all religions, castes, and communities.
The people of Maynagudi appreciated Abhishek Banerjee's gesture, saying that they had not seen a young leader who cared so much about all communities. After completing the puja, Abhishek Banerjee interacted with the people, listened to their problems, and took pictures with them.
